Our Story

ImageRapid started in 2024 as a side project by two developers who were frustrated with existing image converters. Every tool either uploaded images to unknown servers, limited file sizes behind paywalls, or bombarded users with ads.

We asked ourselves: "Why can't image conversion be instant, private, and free?" The answer was that it could — we just needed to build it. By leveraging modern browser APIs like Canvas and WebAssembly, we created a tool that processes everything locally on your device.

What started as a weekend project quickly grew into something much larger. Today, ImageRapid helps thousands of designers, developers, and everyday users convert millions of images — all without a single server upload.
